Over The Arches is situated at the quieter end of the High Street, just an easy stroll to all the many restaurants, pubs and and shops.

This delightful historic market town is about 12 miles from Stratford-on-Avon and is very well placed for visiting the beautiful Cotswold area. The surrounding villages of Bourton-on-the-Water, Moreton-in-Marsh, Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford are all within easy reach by car.

The first record of Campden is in the Domesday Book. The prefix Chipping was added in the 1200's when it was granted a weekly market. The word "Chipping" is derived from the old English "cepings" meaning cheapening or market.

In the middle ages Chipping Campden had a busy wool trade that lasted until the end of the 15th century.
