Campden Music Festival - ' One of the finest acoustics I encountered in my 60 year career' ....Alfred Brendel
St. James' Church
The first Chipping Campden Music Festival was held in 2002, since when it has grown in stature and size year on year. It is now widely recognised as one of the UK's leading festivals with visitors coming from Europe, America and Australia, as well as from all over the UK. The venue has become a favourite with many of the world's finest musicians who all look forward to returning to this most beautiful of all the Cotswold towns.

Chipping Campden

As well as our prestigious music festival the area hosts many other exciting events, and with the RSC just down the road, and the wonderful gardens of Hidcote and Kiftsgate nearby, it is the perfect setting for a long weekend or a fortnight's holiday in the Cotswolds. Chipping Campden is also one of the most important homes of the Arts and Crafts movement. Fine accommodation at all prices is available, from luxury hotels, to lovely B&Bs and traditional Cotswold pubs.

Young Musicians

As well as two weeks of great music in the glorious setting of St James church the festival also runs workshops in local schools led by experienced music educators and in 2008 the Festival Academy training orchestra was formed. This project offers advanced students and recent graduates the opportunity to perform alongside experienced professional orchestral players and world class soloists, and is now regarded as one of the UK's finest training orchestras.

In 2015 the festival expanded its work to form two choirs - an adult community choir (the Festival chorus) and Chipping Campden Young Voices choir.
